The Vision of United Methodist Women

Turning faith, hope and love into action on behalf of women, children and youth around the world.

As United Methodist Women, we give our gift of God with others through mission.

Readfield United Methodist Church re-established a chapter of the UMW about 2 years ago.

Our ministries have included proving backpacks, school supplies, and classroom supplies in local schools; food and clothing to Maranacook Pantry, health kits, layette kits, and birthing kits for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) to distribute to areas worldwide, and dresses and sanitary napkin covers for distribution in Haiti and Africa.

Our UMW sisters meet the third Tuesday of each month to plan mission work and to study and laugh together.

We have been reading and discussing Women of the Bible. We sometimes take “field trips” out for dinner.

All women are invited. You do not have to be a member of our church. You are welcome to come and share your ideas for how we can be disciples of Christ through local and worldwide mission.
